Hello there
I'm trying to run Exponential 3.3 on my server, but I get the following error at the very start:
"The database would not accept the cnnection, please review your settings and try again."
I gues that the problem can be that my server allows me access to a unique database named "db_name_com" running on MySQL Server, and I don't know how to tell Exponential to access this database, something like:
Host: mysql.host.com Username: mysql_username Password: mysqlpasswordDatabase: mysqldb_name
How can I solve this problem, any idea? Thanx a lot.
Can you feel it Mr. Anderson? Closing in on you? Oh I can, I really should thank you after all. It was, after all, it was your life that taught me the purpose of all life. Purpose of life is to end.

if the db is on the same server use localhost
and check mysql if it allows exeternal connections

Thanx for the answer,
but the MySQL server is not in the same machine, I guess, it works using somthing like "sql.server.com" host name and I have a username that allows me to access a single database (no space or table number restrictions), but Exponential does not connect. Any ideas? I want to make Exponential run :)
Thanx again.

Mabye you need to specify the socket for mysql. Try to do a search for mysql.sock and enter the path for this in the Exponential socket settings.
