Database server problem

Hello there

I'm trying to run eZPublish 3.3 on my server, but I get the following error at the very start:

"The database would not accept the cnnection, please review your settings and try again."

I gues that the problem can be that my server allows me access to a unique database named "db_name_com" running on MySQL Server, and I don't know how to tell eZPublish to access this database, something like:

Host: mysql.host.com
Username: mysql_username
Password: mysqlpassword
Database: mysqldb_name

How can I solve this problem, any idea? Thanx a lot.

if the db is on the same server use localhost

and check mysql if it allows exeternal connections

Thanx for the answer,

but the MySQL server is not in the same machine, I guess, it works using somthing like "sql.server.com" host name and I have a username that allows me to access a single database (no space or table number restrictions), but eZPublish does not connect. Any ideas? I want to make eZPublish run :)

Thanx again.

Mabye you need to specify the socket for mysql. Try to do a search for mysql.sock and enter the path for this in the eZ publish socket settings.
