Cannot re-assign $this

Same problem as in this bug: http://ez.no/community/bugs/fatal_error_during_installation eZ publish 3 doesn't support PHP 5. Which version of PHP are you using? I quess it's PHP 5.

Same problem as in this bug:
http://ez.no/community/bugs/fatal_error_during_installation

eZ publish 3 doesn't support PHP 5. You'll need PHP 4.
