Hi!
We experienced some strange behaviour on one of our sites, a 3.4.4 installation.Suddenly the siteadmin couldnt log in, neither could we.
It returns an error the login was invalid, but nothing happens if the login is approved. We tried to manipulate the url to something like /admin/setup/cache but it just shows the loginscreen without errors.
There are no unusal events in the error logs either.
We tried resetting server, disabling cahce in the ini settings, deleting cache manually and by sh, but no response. Does anybody have an idea? 'couse we are running out!

Hi,
I have no experience with that. But some others reported similar strange behavior. Have look at http://ez.no/community/forum/install_configuration/can_t_log_in_admin_after_upgrade_to_3_7_3/re_can_t_log_in_admin_after_upgrade_to_3_7_3__3 It seems that there was another mistake (missing table column after upgrade). But someone wrote that he lost his admin user. Perhaps you can look in the database for the user.
Perhaps this post (http://ez.no/community/forum/general/cannot_login_with_admin_user/re_cannot_login_with_admin_user) can give you an idea how to come into the admin as anonymous user.
Also try searching the forum with "admin user" (1589 results) or "admin user lost" (28 results).

This is strange for me too as it was already reported in ez.no http://ez.no/community/forum/setup_design/can_t_login_as_admin_password_is_correctas well as in the french community http://ezpublish-france.org/index.php/fr/forums/questions_techniques/connexion_impossible_a_ez
I would like to help but have no solution, Happens sometime in windows, Linux, Firefox, IE, Opera with 3.6.x But I have no way to reproduce. The only thing I'm sure, it has a tendancy to show up at the login on IP based addresses.Regards

We have a 3.4.4 installation that is not upgraded in any way.
It has been working propperly in about a year. And noone have been in the code and done anything for quite a while. That's why it is so surprising how this could happen...
We have the correct admin user, and the other users. The site validates the login as correct, but it redirects to the login page again. When entering the wrong password we get the errormessage for this, as it is supposed to to.
We have tried searching the forums with lots of search strings, but can not seem to find any answer...

I checked the suggested problems, and it turned out the ezsession.MYI was corrupt, so a mysql repair did the trick.
