Hi all,

We've just upgraded to eZ Publish 3.5 from eZ Publish 2 and it appears that with the new vesion, users can't upload files, or edit links unelss they go into the administartion interface.

Is there no way to configure eZ Publish so that users, with privileges, can upload files into the CMS using the standard interface, and add/edit links and so forth? This seems like a regression in behaviour to me.

Regards,
Peter.

Hi,

That is most definitely possible. You need to give your users create and write access of the classes you want them to create. Of course they also need write access somewhere in your content tree. Finally you need to provide a link to the edit view for them (/content/edit/node_id).

If you want to see how this works, install the forum package from a standard 3.5 install and take a look at how the forum works from the user site. You can make users edit any object/class type in the same manner.
