OK, the current webhosting comany I'm with just told me that: 'Hello, We've received word back from systems. Since the server runs php as an suexec CGI the PATH_INFO and LOCAL_* variables are not set. Unfortunately the proposed fixes require patching Apache and/or PHP which they do not plan to do at this time. If this is some thing you definately require, you may want to look into a dedicated server solution with our sales department. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Sincerely, Technical Support' In other words, I need another webhosting company! I need to have a little site hosted somewhere. I don't need lots of space, maybe 50mb, so anything capable of running ezpublish and is fairly priced will do. I tried marlabs and their toll-free phone is 'no longer available', so I'm not too keen to go with them. and baker is in Italy, where I'm in Canada, so it's a bit of a stretch if I need technical support of any kind. Thanks for your ongoing help with a total noob at this, Mihnea
