AcceptPathInfo (Apache 2.x)

Hi,

I´ve been reading the forums looking for solutions to the AcceptPathInfo problem with Apache 2.x. Tried some, but none helped.

I am trying to install EZ-Publish on a server that cannot be changed to Apache 1.3, so if I can´t make EZP work with Apache 2, I may have to change to another CMS, which would be very sad for me.

Can anyone spare me a little more patience and knowledge?

Thanks
Roberto

eZ publish (while not entirely supported, yet, by eZ systems) <i>does</i> work very well in most situations with Apache 2, there can be a few quirks but they very on a given server configuration.

That said I use eZ publish almost exclusively with Apache 2
Have you tried using eZ publish with Apache 2? What were your results?

I just want to add that the reason for not fully support Apache2 lies in Apache 2 multithreading nature. PHP relies on many libraries which are not thread safe. As a result, using the multithreaded apache2 can result in "interesting" threading issues. Except making all the libraries PHP depends on thread safe, there is nothing we can do about this.

Frederik,

Thanks for such a detailed explanation :)
An, I don't know what it sounds like but..

I don't blame ya, those pesky old world php libraries will get there one day :)
