Yes, you do need access to run the .php upgrade scripts.
If you got access to some database administration on you host you should be able to upgrade the database using the provided .sql upgrade files.

I also have a question? When i upgrading eZ publish from version 3.4.1 to 3.4.2 and 3.4.2 to 3.4.3 i must run the update scripts? When updating i absolutely must run update scripts for every update? Is it enought to update files and database?

You should not have to run any upgrade scripts upgrading from 3.4.0 -> 3.4.4.
Upgrading from 3.3.x to 3.4 is another matter though. The upgrade process is documented here:http://ez.no/ez_publish/download/changelogs/ez_publish_3_4/upgrading
