translation and user account data type

Hello everybody.

I've created a content class that contains a "user account" attribute, marked as "required".

I've created (in the main language) the content object based on that class with no problems.

Then I tried a new translation based on the main language for that object. The user account is not changable (and cannot be translated), which does make sense. I translate other attributes, try to save, and the system complains that the attribute "user account" is required, so it cannot save the object.

Since the user account data type cannot be translated, I would expect the new object to just keep the reference to the main language user account attribute. Am I wrong?

Any idea on why it fails?

Thanks in advance,

Mirko.

Hello.

I found an issue on the issue tracker I didn't find before writing my post.
The problem only occurs in eZP4.3.0 (and earlier I guess?).

There's a solution explained here:

We've solved the problem with the ezusertype.diff file posted by Carlos.

Thanks!

Mirko.
