Hi,

I'm building a site which wil have French as main language and English as second language. I found very difficult to understand the way EZPUBLISH organizes the 2 web sites...For example, I wanted for some parts of my english site to have the translation of existing french parts and to have also in this English site, parts which doesn't exist at all in the french part...

1) - the way you switch from one content to another in the admin console is not very clear (for exemple, I have Folder which is called "Press Review" for the english part and "Revue de Presse" for the french part but even if you set your site acces to "english" in the admin console you always see the french name of the folder (in the content structure on the left).

2) - More worrying, when I create a french content to which I don't want to give a translation in the english part, everytime I'm on the french content and I switch to the english, I've got the french content displayed.

3) - I wanted to delete an english content but the french equivalent was deleted too...So I was told that I had to delete the english translation of that content and not the english content by itself and to do that, I was told to go in the Admin Console (not very cool if I want people to do it directly from the Back-Office tools of the Front-Office)...

I don't know if it was very clear for everybody...but, anyhow, I'm a bit disappointed by all those difficulties after having discovered with much pleasure the templates, the override templates and classes and the way it works...

So if someone can give me some good reasons to go on using EZPUBLISH and not give up now, it would be cool. For example, are there complete document on workarrounds concerning the Multi-language configuration ?...Seriously, I think that this part should be improved in EZP and should be made more friendly-user for people. I thinks that we should be able to see the diffrent content structure for each site depending on what language we switched on in the admin console...

Best regards.
