Jerry Jalava	Tuesday 29 April 2003 9:02:34 am Hi, Everytime I edit my role policies, they dont update after pressing the store -button. I can change everything ok, but after I press store -button it shows the old stuff. Even remove don't work... So what might be the problem? I would like to know does someone else have this kind of problem in this new eZ 3.0.2 release... Regards, Jerry

No, no problems here when logged in as admin. 1) Can you create new roles? 2) Do you try this from another account? If yes, you may not have the right permissions in your role to edit other roles. Jerry Jalava	Tuesday 29 April 2003 5:07:11 pm Hi, I'm using the admin account. I just can't think of any solution for this problem. Before I updated to the new version of 3rd release I didn't have this problem... This is quite bad in this situation where I'm building a very big portal in Spain and these kind of problems just drop from the sky... The only reason I updated to the new release was because most of the kernel bugs had been corrected, but now I have new problems to think 'bout and that just don't fit in my schedule.. :( But if you Paul could think of something it would be more than great... And to answer your other question: Yes, I can create new roles. The problem is that I can't anymore edit the old roles (ie. Anonymous)... And that is must when you're building site like this...
Paul Borgermans	Wednesday 30 April 2003 1:18:12 am Some more things then: - Did you upgrade the database (see the database upgrade scripts in the root of the installation)? - Turn on debug output in your site.ini(.append(.php)) and look for specific error messages - Did you change the SiteName in [UserSettings]? If yes, change your password. Log out (and exit your browser) and log in again. There may be something dirty in your database. If yes, change your >password. Log out (and exit your browser) and log in again. That worked... one time :(... When I went back to role settings, I had alot of roles on the list. Everytime I had tried it had added/removed it but didn't refresh the list in admin site. And after I changed it again and pressed store button, it doesn't update the list... It only updates the list after I logout and restart browser. Could it be cache problem? My cache is disabled and the only error I get all the time is "Couldn't create cache file 'var/cache/ini/275b0d5c3190de0229bf0b9cd528e844.php', perhaps wrong permissions". I have ran the modfix script... >There may be something dirty in your database. How could I remove it without loosing my data... Regards, Jerry

Jerry Jalava	Wednesday 11 June 2003 2:08:27 am HI, What if the apaches user group is "nobody"? 'Cause I tried to change the permissions of /var folder in different server where apache's usergroup is nobody and it didn't work. When I put debuggin on, it says the folder has wrong permissions...
