Hi,
In the Image datatype documentation, there is a reference to the number "1024" as an "object attribute ID". It is used as part of the directory name that holds the actual image file uploaded to eZ publish via the Image datatype input interface. What is it?
Is this "object attribute ID" determined internally as part of the publishing process? Somehow, I can't find this info anywhere in the documentation.
Thanks for the help,Lulio

Hi Lulio
Each Image is associated with a content object, the "object attribute ID" is simply a reference to the object that the image is associated with.
There is info about the path used to store images @ http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/reference/datatypes/image and the generated documentation can be found here: http://pubsvn.ez.no/doxygen/trunk/html/classeZImageType.html

Hello Bruce,
From your reply I take that "object attribute ID" is just a number, generated internally, that associates the dependent image with its content object.
Since I'm a designer, I tend to stick to the 4.0 Technical Manual and the numerous admin interfaces (over 50 in my last count!) for my professional knowledge. Your second reference is way above my level!
I suppose there is no simple description of how the value of "object attribute ID" comes about.
Bruce, I do appreciate <i>your</i> reply. I remember your name from my copy of "Learning eZ publish 3". Congratulations!

Actually, like each object has a contentobject_id, each attribute on each object has a id as well. So this is the object attribute id, the id of some (image) attribute of the object.
