Missing articles in eZFind

We are having a problem with certain articles missing from our search results and am wondering if someone else has experienced this. When I do an exact phrase search on the article title it does not come back. I have checked the every attribute against other articles that do come back but cannot find any differences or patterns.

Additionally, this problem only occurs on the front end for non-logged in users. When I search from the admin interface while logged in as administrator the article in question always comes back. This led me to believe it could be a permissions problem but there are no differences in permissions between articles that come back and those that don't.

Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas to help troubleshoot?

Hey,

I'm having a problem on indexation also : http://share.ez.no/forums/extensions/ez-find/different-number-of-indexed-objecton-2-distinct-server

But in my case objects are really not indexed (they doesn't appear in solR admin).

Do you check that there is not a difference of section that could results in a permission problem ?

Dan,

I suggest that you:

  • Enable debug output on the siteaccess that doesn't return all the objects
  • Run the query
  • Find the eZ Find debug output that shows the solr query
  • Execute that query manually in your solr backoffice (http://host:8983/solr/admin)

From now on, you can start removing parts of the query, little bit by little bit. You will sooner or later see what criteria prevents the expected results from showing.

I realize this is a bit technical, but this is what I'd have done ;)

Great. I had the same problem as Dan's and this fixed it. Thanks!
