Softriva .com	Tuesday 27 June 2006 11:58:11 am The translation.ts file has a lot of redundant data. Is there a way to have linguist repeat the translation for all other occurrences. I mean, there are many occurrences of the word “Name” and I would linguist to change all the occurrences of the word “Name” based on the first translation I made. Is this possible?

You could of course write a script for it. When you make templates, and you are absolutely certain that all "Name" strings should be translated in the same way, you can use the same context string for them. Then they will only show up once in the linguist. When you are translating with the linguist, use the suggestions list below the main area, that will make your work quicker. It lists suggestions for similar translations, shortcut CTRL+1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
