Cannot change content via admin panel

I am trying to change some content on my website (update some phone numbers) via the admin panel. But somehow the system does not update the changes I make. I have tried several times now but none of the changes gets accepted. I cleared the cash but now change.

Now the forum on my site has no problems getting updated. In other words adding new content to the database is not the problem.

What can be wrong?

It looks like you can save the changes but cannot publish them.

Do you get this problem while editing other content or is it just the phone numbers?
Are you sure you are pressing the correct button to publish the content. In the admin interface, you get "save your content" and "publish to site"? If an error accors while trying to save or publish your content you would get an error message at the top of the page when it is reloaded.
