Attaching file to an article

I have added a binary file field to the article form and can upload files without problem. The edited form shows the name of the file and its size and links directly to it (in this case a PDF).

However, when I look at the page on the site, I get the name of the file but it shows a size of "0 B" and when I click on the file name I receive a message saying that the "Object is not available".

Display is using the following code:
{attribute_view_gui attribute=$content_version.data_map.file_attachment}
