I think it would be a good idea to have a snippet archive where people can post their snippets..
Would be a good resource for developers, and especially for people who are new to ez!
Example. I need to create a breadcrumb outside the pagelayout.tpl. Click in to the archive and check snippets tagged "breadcrumb" and see if anyone has had the same problem. You don't have to search through the forum and/or documentation spending lots of time...
The idea is to keep it easy and accesible.
What do you think? Ideas? Is it necessary or...?

This is a great idea, I've already pinged Nicolas about this. I'm sure he will answer here as well.
We are working on a design contest for share.ez.no and part of this also means we are likely changing the top menu / structure of the site a bit and we are reserving space for new content and ideas. Personally I can see a code snippet area being part of share.ez.no.

This idea gets along well with the focus put on tutorials and beginners knowledge-content. In order for the usefulness of such a tool to be maximized, a proper way to find ( and not only search :) ) a relevant snippet needs to accompany it. I can see a quite good example of this there : http://phpsnips.com or here : http://snipplr.com/all/language/php. Do you have other examples/tools you are using regularly, which we could inspire ourselves from ? Should we create something from scratch or use and integrate an existing tool ?
I like this idea, we should make something out of it,Cheers!

Hmmm.. Don't have any inspiration sources to provide.. Sorry... But while i think the hierarchy on the site you refer to, I don't like the layout/design of it.. To difficult to navigate through. http://snipplr.com/all/language/php Is not to bad though..
Gonna have to think about this one.. ;)
