Am I missing something or is there an automatic way of lifting a certain folder's latest articles to a block automatically?

I think you must define and create a new block for this. Im working on a site where this is needed at the moment so i can post the code as soon ive figured out how todo it. The dynamic block section in the Flow setup documentation explains a little. Coming back with code once ive figured things out.
