eZFind is based on solr1.4 so I am wondering did someone tried this patch:

Hey Ivo,
This will most likely be bundled with ez find 2.2, as the included Solr package will be based on trunk/1.5 for geo related search capabilities and a few more too good not to have otherwise features

Seems that eZ Publish 4.3.0 release gave me the answer ;)
