Hello everybody.
I have a little question on ezfind.
I know that Java Run-time Environment 6/1.6 is necessary for the installation. But in term of resource server, what is the minimal and optimal configuration?
Thanks in advance.

Hello.
All depends the size of your app. According to INSTALL.txt (ezfind):
you need to use some extra parameters for java too, the following is recommended for typical sites: java -server -d64 -Xmx1500m -Xms1500m -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:NewRatio=5 -jar start.jar
As you can see, the memory needed is about 1500M for solr, in typical sites (this is not mandatory). If you have too many objects in your ezpublish implementation, you need as much ram memory as posible. In my case, i have a site with more than 900000 objects and the server resources are 8 CPU cores and 8Gb RAM, with plain search (not ezfind) and the performance is good (could be better).
Hope this help.
