In his brilliant speech at this year's eZ Summer Conference in London, Tony Wood mentioned the eZ book production, and how much he would like to see it back.

Hi Geir,
Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to recall such happy memories.
For the book, I think we can still remain digital. So if we produce a PDF book and then people can print if they want to.
I was wondering on the method of book creation. Could we use a collaborative process for this? I am thinking a shared Google Doc. as long as you can lay out the structure and moderate. The community should be able to write it over time.
If we get Google+ invites we can have evening "hang outs" where we hit a chapter together. (beer and pizza not included :)
As long as we get eZ to sign it somewhere it will be great.

Hi,
I'm getting really curious to the content of those books. Was it something like a tutorial? Or maybe more?
Might be an idea for everyone checking this thread to have an old version scanned in pdf?

Hi Robin,
They were mainly tutorial and reference books. I'll see if I can dig one up at the office. We used to give them out to clients for projects.

At Contactivity, as an early eZ Publish partner, we still have one or more old books/manuals laying around. Back at the office on Monday I will see what I can do to scan those if they have any (historical) added value.
