I've been thinking about integrating a webmail client into ezPublish.
Now as it stands, there are several ways to achieve that:
- write one from scratch. It's not that hard but a bit of work, still. That's the most flexible option though.
- integrate an off the shelf one. Preferably LGPL or BSDL - use an iframe to interface with an existing one and just modify it to read user data from ezpublish db to enable single sign on. Furthermore, I've been working on a calendar (I thought that was trivial, turns out it's far from it). Currently, I don't really see how it will turn out however, I will contribute it. Basically, the calendaring engine works more or less but I'm facing trouble with the rendering of the data down to HTML (I'm quite sure it won't be that easily themeable, it's a nightmare to render it to HTML anyhow) tempted to use layers to simplify the design and would like to hear comments?
