Hi!
I have a database with lots of information and I need to run the script: updatesearchindex.php to re-indexing objects. The searching doesn't work like it should after the latest upgade and therefore I thought I'd run the updatesearchindex.php again....

When I try to do this the php script interpreter stops at 63.15 %. It's the same procent everytime. I get no error messages from the script. PHP Script Interpreter just stops and the process dies... I've tried to use cli in different PHP versions (4.3.1, 4.4.1 and 4.4.6) but it always stops at 63.15%.....

The database is huge. 63.15% takes at least one hour to reach. Current eZ publish version is 3.8.0, but the database has been updated several times:
1. from eZ publish 3.3 to 3.4.2
2. from eZ publish 3.4.2 to 3.4.4
3. from eZ publish 3.4.4 to 3.8.0

I've also tried to use the Update search index Segfaulting fix: http://lists.ez.no/pipermail/sdk-public/2006-November/002463.html but it doesn't work either. I'm not sure my problem has anything to do with that fix... I don't get the error message about segmentation fault.

Does anyone have a clue what the problem can be?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards!

Hi Brookins Consulting,
The solution you presented above was of great help for us. It solved our problems and we successfully completed the search indexing.

I really recommend this solution to others with similar problems!

Thank you very much for providing this extension!
