Throw error messages

We are currently developing a new extension for ezpublish but are having some problems with testing. Is it possible to throw a warning in php code to be handled by the ezdbugger so we can see the output in our browser?

Just a simple Warning:Hello World would be very helpful to us.

Nevermind I found it:
Using eZDebug::dumpVariable does the trick nicely.
