Hi everyone, I post this trying to gather information about search engine(s), because of some problem we are having in one of our sites.
I understand these two things:
- eZ search engine (ezsearchengine.php) searches within the site db and creates temporary tables for each word it looks for.
- any external search engine, just indexes the site as it browses it. If this is correct, then the working principles of each are quite different (index against db querying), and, as it happens if I use google to search into my site, index-search engines don't see parts of the site that aren't browsable, and therefore I won't find elements that for some reason do not have a link to them (e.g., very old news).
