Search and php cgi

I'll give this topic a go at the developers section as well: I have to run my eZ installation in PHP CGI-mode. Found a patch that makes this run smooth, with one exception : the search doesn't work.

The following thread suggests a fix by changing the form request from 'get' to 'post', and also changing '?' to '&' in urls.. However this doesn't quite do it even though I managed to make the search return it's results once this way...

Any of the hardcore members of the community see the reason why this isn't working properly?
