Hello

I took the pubsvn server down: the community repository is corrupt since somewhere this morning and the normal recovery fails. I'll try more low level recovery later today when I have more time. To avoid more problems, pubsvn is closed for now.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I hope to get it back up, never had this before

Bad news

The repository will remain down a few more days, I've put the server in strike mode.

I'll have to restore from tape the backup from last friday evening. This is only possible with physical access to the servers (manual tape changes) .. which will only be monday afternoon CET and takes a long time.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I hope not too many of you work during the weekend, I can't make the 120 km trip to do it earlier

Good news

I managed to cure the corrupt community database without resorting to backups which is quite a relief.

So basically: pubsvn is up again :-)

Hi Björn

Indeed, nothing is lost. Around the time errors showed in the logs, there was an indexing spree going on from several robots, some of them ignoring robots.txt rules

Have a nice sunday
