Problem with EAN datatype

Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to create an EAN datatype for ezPublish. I took a look at the datatype tutorial and also the source for the ISBN type.
The admin interface shows the new extension as installed and active but when I try to add the type to my product class it doesn't show up in the list.
This is my file structure (in the extension directory). Can anyone tell me if there's something missing?

ean/datatypes/ezean/ezeantype.php
ean/design/standard/templates/content/datatype/edit/ezean.tpl
ean/design/standard/templates/content/datatype/view/ezean.tpl
ean/settings/content.ini.append
ean/settings/design.ini.append

I also tried to install the ISSN data type from the eZ homepage and it also shows up as active extension but here again no ISSN type is available. They are both listed in site.ini.append as active, too. I tried clearing the caches, logging out and in again but to no avail.

Any ideas?
