Hi,

I wanted to ask what the correct procedure was to add attributes to a pre-existing content class like blog_post. I can see that it allows me to add attributes but was wondering if this was ok and if these updates would work with an upgrade to ezpublish.

thanks,
Kedar

Hello,

your blog_post class is there as an example, it is not changed when you ugrade eZ Publish.

One way to alter system-provided content classes is to create copies of all the ones you want to modify, renaming them to myapp_folder, myapp_blogpost, myapp_forntpage etc...
It is a bit of extra work, but it makes it easier to later export those classes via the packaging system and import them into other installations, where the standard content classes do not expect to be modified...
