Image variations: some do, some don't

Hello,

I have this random issue, some images are generated (ImageMagick) for all definitions of my image.ini settings and some don't.

Days ago all worked as expected but recently my client wanted to have in the administration site as the name of each product not only the name but other attributes too, so I changed the pattern of the name of the object as <product_number> <name> <made_by> <ade_by_code>

So far so good, but when the image is generated it builds a folder as the size of an elephant (the name has all the attributes of the pattern of the object) "fit-xxx-bicicleta-horizontal-profesional-lifefitness-95re-domlx" and the image becomes "FIT-XXX-Bicicleta-Horizontal-profesional-LifeFitness-95RE-DOMLX.jpg"

I am not saying that this could be the problem of some images not being generated as defined in my image.ini settings, but still some of them are not created at all.

An image location becomes something like:

E:\sitiosweb\gammae\var\ezwebin_site\storage\images\home\spa-y-fitness\gimnasios\cardiovasculares\bicicletas\fit0050-bicicleta-vertical-profesional-lifefitness\66471-1-esl-ES\FIT-XXX-Bicicleta-Horizontal-profesional-LifeFitness-95RE-DOMLX.jpg

Quite big?

If anyone knows if this could be my problem and knows how to shorten those images and folder names, please, help?

thanks

Yes, yes, yes

Just changed values of the attributes that make the object pattern name, so the folder and the image name are shorter than the previous version and all images have been generated without problems..

Is this a known bug? or am I missing something in the imagemagick configuration or elsewhere?

I wonder how to shorten all images inspite of their object pattern name?

clues needed cause this will surelly happend again!

thanks...

Thanks,

Glad to know that !, I was preparing myself for a "few days headache"...

Is there any way of forcing "folders names" and "images names" generated by it's object pattern to be shorter so the length of folders and name all together becomo shorter too? I would like to use an object pattern that will need few attributes of the object so my final pattern name will be bigger, this will surelly make my images an folders to have "big" names" and that's where my headache will start....

Just saw http://issues.ez.no/IssueView.php?Id=12133 (Enable more control of the generated filenames for images and other uploaded content)

But there is no solution yet...

Anyone knows how to hack this?

thanks

by the way I am using ez 3.10
