Hi.
I am currently running version 4.1.3 and need to upgrade to 4.2.0
I have modified some of the ezwebin classes with additional fields.
If i upgrade to a new version of the ezwebin classes , for instance the article class i am given some options: The one i would like is to replace existing class (Warning! 195 content object(s) and their sub-items will be removed)
1Does this really remove all of my articles, meaning i lose all my content?
There has to be a good way of understanding how to successfully do upgrades, but i have not gotten any good responses before when asking.
Please help me.

Hi Lars,
I would suggest you to update the existing classes manually from the admin interface, by comparing your class definition and the class definition from a clean 4.2 install. This way, you will keep your existing data.
Do not forget to backup your database before.
