ezbinaryfiletype Fatal Error

Hello.

After upgrading to eZ Publish 3.8.1, I now get this error when adding a file object to a subfolder of the Media Library:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in C:\Documents and Settings\rpratt\My Documents\dev\www.uspensionfunding.com\httpdocs\kernel\classes\datatypes\ezbinaryfile\ezbinaryfiletype.php on line 89
Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish its request

The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.

I see the following errors in the error_log:

[ Jul 25 2006 19:55:55 ] [127.0.0.1] eZINI:
Undefined variable: 'Repositories' in group 'BinaryFileSettings'
[ Jul 25 2006 19:55:55 ] [127.0.0.1] eZINI:
Undefined variable: 'ExtensionRepositories' in group 'BinaryFileSettings'
[ Jul 25 2006 19:55:55 ] [127.0.0.1] eZBinaryFileHandler::instance:
Could not find binary file handler 'ezfilepasstrough'

My sense is that there's maybe some garbage left in an ini file after I did an edit ... but how do I figure out which file (and I've manually gone through all the files I think I may have touched recently) Are there other possible causes of this error?

Regards,
Rob Pratt

Hi,

You can check the file consistency of your old installation (Setup->Upgrade check). This is very good idea before all upgrades. It does not show what was change but it shows which original eZ publish file was modified.

It is always recommend to do upgrades to the latest eZ publish version, 3.8.2 currently.
