e-mail validation - are you serious??

I think that comes much closer (and simpler!), but likely to be improved. Comments welcome (preg): ^[a-z0-9][-._a-z0-9]@(?:[a-z0-9][-_a-z0-9]*\.)+[a-z]{2,4}$
