Custom module falls back from admin to base design

Hi people,

My first post on these forums! Together with Sutrix Media I already managed to get very far with the development on eZ Publish, I love it!

But my problem: I've build an extension with a module which create a new top level node like the Welcome to eZ Publish node. I'm using this node as a new content structure for the creation of custom menu's. Sutrix built this module but I'm trying to create a clean installation process for it. So far I managed to get it up to a certain point where the code posted below creates the new top level node. But after it has run the admin interface changes from the admin design to the base and standard design. Looking at the errors the debug produces it seems like the siteaccess data is lost but i cant figure out why...

Let me know if someone wants to reproduce the error, because it only displays once...
