Hi,

Could you put it in projects.ez.no ?

X+

P.S. Otherwise, Do you think it would be possible to modify the binary file template to track the downloads too ?

Greeting Mr. Dutoit,

Thank you very much for your interest.

Brookins Consulting is proud to both support and patiently await for the successful completion of the (automated) migration of all eZ Community existing resources (PubSVN, Contributions, etc) to the eZ projects platform.

The release (content object locations throughout ez.no) as it stands now are technical release dependencies which had not yet been resolved at the time of initial publication.

This first public promotion of the released extension is the second step in a silent release (some time before eZ projects was available to us we moved code to PubSVN).

Brookins Consulting believes firmly in the successful migration of existing resources will quickly resolve these outstanding dependencies which leaves us looking forward to future releases on eZ projects yet through our own planning, patience direction.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

FYI Update Hipsters!

<b>The Warning</b>

I plan on introducing destructive commits to the svn trunk branch of this extension.

These commits will affect anyone using the googleanalytics extension from PubSVN on automatic updates via cron. It's unknown just how many people this would actually affect.

<b>The Problem</b>

The goal is to replace the previous use of the stats.tpl template include (original dependency) with a simple set template operators.

If you update from svn via cron this template will disappear and prolly stop collecting stats and start throwing eZ log error entries at the least.

<b>The Solution</b>

The solution is to disable svn updates via cron until the next major release announcement. By disabling updates to the extension's svn checkout, this prevents my modifications to the svn repository from affecting the distributed installations based on a PubSVN checkout of the extension.

<b>The Goal</b>

These new template operators greatly should increase the flexibility of the solution by removing all external dependencies and reducing previous installation configuration (documentation) confusion surrounding manual template override creation requirements (Hint, it is only required if you use a design extension or modify templates).

All this and more without removing any features from the solution.

<b>The Request</b>

Please <i>disable svn updates via cron</i> until the next major release announcement.

Brookins Consulting has completed the migration of this solution from PubSVN to projects.ez.no, http://projects.ez.no/bcwebsitestatistics

Our certified and supported product BC Website Statistics was released and is now available for purchase. http://ez.no/products/certified_extensions/bc_website_statistics

Our article surrounding the extension BC Website Statistics was recently published on ez.no, <i>http://ez.no/developer/articles/how_to_use_ez_publish_extensions_google_analytics</i>

The latest stable subversion release branch of the extension (currently v1.0.2) available from.

Product: http://ez.no/products/certified_extensions/bc_website_statistics

Packages:

http://projects.ez.no/content/download/1921/7351/file/bcwebsitestatistics.tar.gz
http://projects.ez.no/content/download/1922/7354/file/bcwebsitestatistics.zip
http://projects.ez.no/download/2082/7988/file/bcwebsitestatistics.tar.bz2

Stable Subversion Branch:

Please feel free again enable automated cron/crontab based checkouts and exports of the extension. We often use the eZ SVN extension to perform this task with eZ Publish.

Hello !

I have two short questions about the extension:

1. the extension seems to be based on the legacy 'urchin' method instead of the ga.js one. Are there plans to update it ?

2. What are the benefits of your extension vs. just putting the ga.js or urchin.js tracker into the pagelayout? I understand there's some advanced tracking on the shop, but can you detail that a bit?

Thanks a lot in advance,
best regards,

</Pascal>

The extension is based on the urchin method. This is so simple to update by modifying the files ...

<i>http://svn.projects.ez.no/bcwebsitestatistics/trunk/extension/bcwebsitestatistics/autoloads/bcwebsitestatisticsoperators.php</i>

Out of the box functionality might often be preferred instead of modifying templates etc.

It also provides shop order tracking functionality most shops demand that would take additional workarounds. It's a workflow event.

Read the docs or the article available.
