3.6.1 Clicking hide in admin causes error & missing articles

After clicking Hide I get the following:
The requested page could not be displayed. (1)
The system is unable to display the requested page because of security issues.
Possible reasons:
Your account does not have the proper privileges to access the requested page.
The requested page does not exist. Try changing the URL.

After I get this error message the article in question that I was attempting to hide are indeed hidden on the user website. But they are also hidden in the administration system the only way to restore the articles is to manually change the is_hidden and is_invisible fields in ezcontentobject_tree.

Can anyone offer any assistance?
