This online environment provides the means for academics and researchers working the humanities to share information, and to collaborate on research bids and initiatives.

The self-publishing tools enable academics to update and add to their profiles as they publish new work, and ensures that "connecting the dots" occurs across a very important sector of the research network of New Zealand.

Creative Commons is a worldwide movement to enable easy sharing of content by the general public.

This site is the home of New Zealand's participation in the initiative, and provides pathways to local content as well as to the global information available in the Creative Commons international network. Once the New Zealand Creative Commons licences are completed, they will be made available on this site, and promoted widely to New Zealand citizens.

This national hub was developed for the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology to assist in the study and awareness of biotechnology.

The Science Hub is a national initiative funded by the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology to increase engagement in science in all schools in New Zealand.

The extensive and growing site provides engaging, revelant examples of science in action in New Zealand, and includes written articles about our leading-edge research, images which supporting metadata and rights information, student-focused interactives, video collections shot on location around New Zealand and more.

A innovative feature of the site is Connections, an interactive and inter-connected way to search for content.
