Benasque Hospital's Foundation was created in December 2006 as a nonprofit entity, being formed between the municipality of Benasque and the company Benasque Hospital SL.

The Foundation aims to research, study, restore, extend and enhance the value of the artistic, cultural, ethnological and natural heritage of the Pyrenees.

During these years, they have undertaken the task of collecting large amount of materials about heritage in different formats, dominating the paper (publications, books, postcards, photographs, old documents, etc.). As a result of this work, a large volume of information has been obtained to maintain and preserve, especially a large amount of content difficult to handle in their original format.
