St Albans Museums Service manages the two museums, Verulamium Museum and the Museum of St Albans, the medieval clock tower, the Old Town Hall and a field archaeology unit. A completely new website has been developed for St Albans Museums by EAB based on eZ Publish 4.0. A key feature of the new website is the searchable image collection, containing over 6000 images, including photographs, prints, watercolours, drawings, oil paintings and postcards relating to St Albans City and District. The majority of these images were previously only accessible to the public by appointment.
