Warruwi Community Inc is the local governing body on Goulbourn Island of the Coast of the Northern Territory.

Mawng is the main language spoken by approximately 750 people on Warruwi Goulburn Island and surrounding areas but other Aboriginal languages are spoken on Warruwi, these include Kunbarlang, Kunwingku and Kalpu languages. English is generally the second language.

Fishing is the main past time, turtle being the most sought after catch with dugong running second. The variety of other fish life is prolific including crayfish and mud-crabs. Oyster beds line many of the shores.
