Nauiyu is a small community nestled on the banks of the Daly River, arguably one of the best sport fishing rivers in Australia. Around the Council office, the talk is often of staff exploits on the river with line and rod. Often, much to any outsider's disbelief, is heard the comment that it would be great to catch something other than barramundi!
