The Jilkminggan Community is situated on the riverbanks of the famous Roper River, 130 kms South East of Katherine.

Jilkminggan is located on the traditional tribal lands of the Mangarrayi Aboriginal people, who were made famous world wide by the movie 'We of the Never Never'. This brilliant historical movie was shot on location at the beautiful Elsey Station.
